Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this individual will be responsible for maintaining safety, quality, efficiency, equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.Section A – Specific ResponsibilitiesDuties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.Maintain complete equipment records and documentation related to tests, maintenance, modifications and repairsResponsible for following test, maintenance and installation procedures established as acceptable for the equipment under the care of this maintenance department.Develop and recommend improvements, design changes or modifications to electrical/mechanical systems, equipment or procedures.Inspect, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical or electronic components.Routinely test electrical and mechanical systems, electronic equipment and components to ensure they are working properly and safely.Assemble, install, maintain and repair all electrical, electromechanical equipment and components as per manufacture installation procedures.Perform routine daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance programs of all electrical and mechanical operating systems and rotating equipment to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair to avoid failure of equipment.Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical and mechanical operating systems, equipment and components by using manuals, schematic diagrams and electronic test equipment to locate and repair faults.Provide technical support to all employees on the shift.Section B – General ResponsibilitiesPerform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.Assist in audits of supply inventories along with bench stock to ensure availability of replacement parts and equipment.Advise Facilities Manager of hazards, defects or unsafe conditions on or off the equipmentRecord equipment deterioration to determine whether to continued operations of rotating equipment could be hazardous.Evaluate electrical and mechanical equipment as well as operational problems.Plan prepare and coordinate maintenance and repairs with other departments whom may be affected by these activities.Assist in maintaining clean, orderly and hazard free work areas.Always keep work area safe, organized and clean.Follow company Health and Safety policies.Able to work without close or direct supervision.Section C – Position RequirementsExperience in a similar role, working as a team with other electricians and industrial mechanicsElectrical Certification – Industrial Electrician 442A or Construction & Maintenance Electrician 309AAbility to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, operating manuals and maintenance instructions.Proficient on industrial machinery, mechanical equipment and components, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, compressors, conveyor and material handling systemsWorking knowledge and understanding of Programmable logic controllersProficient computer skills and experience with various software.Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, operating manual and maintenance instructionsDemonstrated ability in trouble shooting and isolating faults in electrical and electronic control systemsAbility to create electrical solutions to optimize productionKnowledgeable in repairing and performing routine maintenance on production equipment.Mechanical skills and experience would be an assetAble to prioritize work load and effectively meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to multi task and work in an organized fashion with attention to detail and accuracy.Willingness to respond to call-ins or overtime when required.#LI-JT2We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
