In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and processing payroll of all employees while assisting in the administration of Neo's Employee Equity Plan. Reporting into the Total Rewards Lead, you will work collaboratively with Workforce Management, Accounting, Legal and People Operations Coordinators to ensure accurate and timely execution of payroll processes.What you’ll be doing:
  • Oversee and provide final review for payroll processing of full-time, part-time, and temporary contract employees
  • Oversee the completion of all year-end payroll obligations and regulatory submissions
  • Design and implement scalable payroll processes and systems
  • Ensure compliance with applicable provincial and federal legislation
  • Provide assistance in administration of the Neo’s equity plan
  • Deliver insightful research, analysis, and recommendations on our payroll programs
  • Maintain stringent internal controls and audit trails for accountability
  • Execute monthly reconciliation of benefits payments
Who we are looking for:
  • A seasoned payroll expert with 3+ years of experience in Full-cycle payroll and benefits administration
  • Past experience in a company of 500+ employees; ideally in a fast-paced industry, dealing with fluctuations in seasonal work flow
  • Experience with Morgan Stanley Shareworks platform is an asset
  • Experience with employee stock option plans is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Deep understanding of payroll legislation and best practices across Alberta, Ontario and Manitoba
  • A process oriented thinker with a knack for driving efficiencies
  • You are comfortable working with autonomy and take ownership over your work
  • You are eager and proactive in tackling initiatives that creatively solve problems
  • You are organized and detail-oriented, with familiarity in handling confidential information
