- Monthly US GAAP reporting package
- Reconciliation of policy administration system data to financial results
- Distribution, Claims, Actuarial, and functional areas
- Regulatory Reporting - provision of IFRS results for OSFI filings
- Collaboration with Canadian, US and European affiliates for internal reporting
- Preparation of key IFRS / GAAP schedules for annual audited financial statements
- Coaching, mentoring and development of team members
- Ad hoc requests from management
- Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university
- Recognized accounting designation, preferably Chartered Professional Accountant
- 5+ years of accounting experience in the insurance industry, preferably in property & casualty
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, ideally IFRS 17
- Experience with Infor Sun Financial Systems, SAP, and Power BI, would be considered an asset
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Excellent verbal, and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
