
Dining Hall Food Service Manager - Aramark @ Wilfrid Laurier University

- Responsible for ensuring the daily operation of the campus dining hall runs smoothly
- Responsible for operations, cleanliness, service, greeting customers and supervising 35-40 staff
- Schedules dining hall staff, calls replacements, verifies time cards, assists with inventory
- Conducts staff huddles, Health and Safety audits, ensures food safety and sanitation is upheld
- Trains, develops and coaches unionized staff ensuring compliance with Collective Agreement
- Develops and motivates supervisory staff to attain proper standards of performance
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or Food and Beverage Management is preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in a high-volume setting is an asset
- Previous experience managing or working in a unionized setting is an asset
- Thorough understanding of food safety, food handling and sanitation standards
- Solid communication and people skills to direct teams in daily operations
- Must be organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel is required for administrative duties
- Must be available to work Monday – Friday shift from 10AM-6PM or 11AM-7PM
