- Lead content planning end-to-end—from ideation and research through execution— across all owned channels (email, social, web, video, and more).
- Write and edit clear, compelling, on-brand copy that aligns with our tone, style guide, and channel best practices.
- Develop storyboards, scripts, and creative concepts that support brand storytelling and campaign needs.
- Conduct research and leverage insights (audience behavior, SEO, market trends) to inform content decisions and identify high-value opportunities.
- Use analytics to guide content performance, optimization, and experimentation, delivering pre- and post-campaign reporting with actionable recommendations.
- Build and manage a 12-month content plan aligned to business priorities, brand initiatives, and channel opportunities.
- Execute strategies across social, email, newsletters, and additional owned platforms.
- Provide strong creative briefs, direction, and feedback to design partners, collaborating closely to bring content to life.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders— including Regional Sales, Community TV, People & Culture, Marketing Managers and others— to ensure stories are accurate, aligned, and impactful.
- Attend project meetings, gather business requirements, and translate them into clear content deliverables.
- Stay current on industry best practices, emerging formats, and evolving content trends, bringing forward new ideas and opportunities.
- Provide website, social media, and content analytics to guide content performance and strategic adjustments.
- Troubleshoot content-related technical issues in collaboration with the IT team.
- Manage timelines, workflows, and editorial calendars to ensure smooth delivery and adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain editorial standards, uphold brand tone, and ensure consistency across all content outputs.
- Track content through the full editorial process— from creation to review, approval, and publishing.
- Collaborate effectively in a fast-moving environment, fostering strong relationships and shared ownership across teams.
- Oversee the social media budget, ensuring accurate monthly forecasting and tracking.
- Provide day-to-day leadership to a small team of graphic designers, fostering a creative, motivated, and high-performing environment.
- Champion effective design processes and recommend improvements to enhance team efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead by example by modeling high creative standards, constructive feedback, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications, journalism, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years in content development and publishing.
- Leadership experience required.
- Experience and publishing capabilities with all social platforms. Experience using social media scheduling platforms such as Hootsuite desired.
