· Assist in interpreting soil, rock, and groundwater conditions and help translate findings into clear, practical design recommendations.
· Support the development of geotechnical design solutions for foundations, earthworks, slopes, retaining structures, and buried infrastructure that help keep people and communities safe.
· Prepare concise, data-driven technical memoranda and reports that inform client decisions on scope, schedule, and investment.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (environmental, structural, transportation, water, and more) to integrate ground engineering into larger project designs.
· Help advance sustainable design practices by considering constructability, materials, and long-term performance in geotechnical solutions.
· Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions, bringing an EIT perspective and curiosity to every challenge.The Skills That Set You Apart· You have a degree in civil, geological, or geotechnical engineering and are registered, or eligible to register, as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with a Canadian engineering association.
· You possess a valid Canadian driver's license, have access to a vehicle, a clean Driver's Abstract, and you know your way around the MS Office suite of products.
· You've started building hands-on experience in geotechnical or ground engineering through co-op, internship, or early-career project work.
· You are comfortable supporting work both in the field and in the office and are willing to travel to sites across the northern British Columbia and the Yukon, as project needs arise.
· You enjoy working with data - from logs and lab results to monitoring records - and using it to support practical recommendations.
· You are keen to grow your skills with geotechnical tools and software (for example, analysis, modeling, or drafting platforms) and to learn from senior mentors.
