The role will be responsible for growing market share in western Canada by actively communicating with prospective clients via lead generation, prospecting, attending trade shows and chairing client meetings.Specific ResponsibilitiesWork with the Market Intelligence Analyst local client services staff to identify and capitalize on business opportunities in the market.Represent ALS Geochemistry at regional trade shows, conferences and Geological Society meetings.Together with client services staff complete annual quotation renewals, new work bids, and track client workflow.Meet with prospective clients and visit client sites to better understand client needs and provide solutions.Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the lifecycle of their projects.Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across ALS service lines to maximize client value and revenue.Utilize CRM and other technology tools to track client interactions, opportunities, and market trends, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.Together with the client services staff assist with client tours and ALS client appreciation events at trade shows.Act as a client advocate within ALS, tracking turn-around time, client priorities and RUSH work completion.Provide a superior client experience by providing information on analytical methods, quality control, turnaround times, and proactively resolving questions and concerns.Ensure proactive, positive and responsive communications are always maintained with clients.Maintain regular schedules for client communication including courtesy calls, when new work is received, and if there are delays in work completion.Act as the initial contact for potential new clients regarding their program questions, and concerns.Follow up on client issues and maintains communication.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing client feedback and operational insights with internal teams.Other duties as assigned by the Business Development Manager, North AmericaRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPost secondary education in the sciences (geology and/or chemistry preferred) is an asset.Some background in science or direct laboratory experience is very important to the role.Experience working with analytical methods, and quality control, preferably in geochemistry.1-2 years’ experience in client service, project management or business development role required.Experience in geoscience preferred.Required QualificationsValid driver’s license with a clean driver’s recordMust be able to travel periodically throughout the year.Our Benefits IncludeAn estimated annual salary ranging from $70,000 - $80,000 at the time of posting.
