NSB Omega is searching for a Project Manager for out MAJOR Utilities Client in St. John's, NL.Assignment DescriptionThe Project Manager shall be responsible for providing project management services for an upcoming project to complete a structural assessment and refurbishment of the access equipment on three (3) boiler stacks at Holyrood Thermal Generating Station. Their key responsibilities include the following:TENDERING SUPPORT· Provide support to The Client during the tendering phase of the contracted work.· Review and become fully familiar with the scope, requirements, and obligations of the tendered contract.· Attend tender meetings as required by The Client.· Assist The Client in the review and evaluation of contractor proposals.CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION AND TECHNICAL OVERSIGHT· Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with the contract, approved scope of work, drawings, technical specifications, schedules, and applicable standards.· Ensure all contractual deliverables are completed, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) requirements.· Coordinate and facilitate responses to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) by liaising with the engineer of record or other designated Client representatives.· The Project Manager shall coordinate and manage project activities, including contractor orientation, coordination, meeting facilitation, schedule tracking, communication, and oversight of work progress to confirm alignment with the contract requirements.· The Project Manager shall perform its services in accordance with The Client's Contractor Safety Management Program, and site-specific policies and procedures, and shall monitor contractor compliance with these requirements.· The Project Manager may convey and implement directions issued by The Client's to the Contractor; however, the Project Manager shall not independently provide contractor direction, approve deviations from The Client's safety programs, or authorize design changes. Any matters requiring approval or decision-making authority, including safety deviations, changes to contractor means and methods, design changes, or contract scope changes, shall be approved by The Client.OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY· Review contractor OH&S submissions prior to commencement of work· Ensure compliance with The Client's Contractor Safety Management Program· Ensure all required OH&S documentation and project requirements are collected and communicated to the designated Contractor Management Representative (CMR).TRAINING AND SITE COORDINATION· Complete Level 2 Holyrood Thermal Generating Station Site Orientation· Complete The Client's Code Awareness Training· Complete The Client's Contractor Safety Management Training (one-day course).· Coordinate with Holyrood TGS Operations and Planning to integrate project activities with ongoing site operations and constraints.CONTRACTOR COORDINATION AND SITE LOGISTICS· Coordinate contractor mobilization and demobilization activities. Laydown areas, access routes, and site logistics shall be planned with the Project CMR.· Arrange site orientations for new contractor personnel through Holyrood TGS's Site Safety Coordinator.COMMUNICATION AND REPORTING· Maintain regular communication with Holyrood Plant personnel regarding project status, progress, and potential impacts.· Provide advance notification of restricted areas, safety notices, or activities that may affect plant operations.· Chair and document regular contractor progress meetings.· Monitor contractor progress and performance and promptly report any deficiencies, non-conformances, delays, or concerns to the Plant Civil Engineer.FIELD PRESENCE· The Project Manager shall maintain an appropriate field presence to remain informed of construction activities, progress, and site conditions.· Field presence shall be prioritized during active construction phases; administrative and coordination activities may be completed remotely as appropriate.FINANCIAL REVIEW· Review contractor invoices to confirm accuracy, eligibility of charges, and compliance with contract terms prior to the Client's approval.PROJECT CLOSE-OUT· Review all project close-out documentation, including draft and final contractor reports.· Confirm that all contractual obligations and deliverables have been met prior to project close-out.ADDITIONAL SERVICES· Where additional work arises that aligns with the Project Team's qualifications and expertise, the Client may assign such work, subject to mutual agreement and applicable contractual terms.For clarity, the Project Manager's role is limited to coordination, monitoring, and advisory functions and does not include authority to direct contractor means, methods, sequencing, or workmanship.Duration1 Year(With Possibility of Extension)LocationSt. John's, NL
