Candidate profile details:
  • Degree/Certifications Required: Post Secondary, CSM (must have) Scaled Agile Practitioner (nice to have)
  • Years of Overall Experience: 0-2 years
  • Preferred Candidate Background: Banking or financial institution, IT project experience, software solution/development projects
  • How will performance be measured: hitting deliverables, making sure impediments and risk are going to the right forum, hitting deadlines/timelines
  • Selling Points of Position (CVP): Gaining experience with large enterprise solutions, gaining knowledge of the wealth space
Summary of the role:

Summary of day-to-day responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies:Lead and guide the team through daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and time-boxed.
  • Remove impediments:Proactively identify and eliminate obstacles, conflicts, and issues that hinder the team’s progress, coordinating with external groups or stakeholders as needed.
  • Coach and mentor:Guide the team in adopting and practicing Agile principles and Scrum values, helping them develop self-management and continuous improvement skills.
  • Shield the team:Protect the team from external interference and distractions to allow them to focus on delivering value during the sprint.
  • Foster collaboration:Promote effective communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders, ensuring a healthy and productive environment.
  • Promote transparency:Encourage the team to track relevant metrics and make informed decisions to improve their processes.
  • Additionally, the following items:
o Leading PI Planning for the teams.
o Keeping teams and partners on track during execution.
o Coaching Agile Teams.
o Improving workflow between teams.
o Driving improvements in the teams.
o Managing alignment between the business and various partner groups.Must-have hard skills:
  • Risk, impediment and dependency management
  • CSM certification (any scrum master cert works)
  • Program Increment planning – quarterly planning etc.
Soft skills:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong facilitator (facilitating scrum ceremonies)
Nice-To-Have:
  • Scaled Agile certification
  • Banking or financial institution experience
  • Release Train Engineer experience (knowledge)
  • Project Management experience
