
Key Account Manager – Loblaw

- Understand banner strategies and develop tailored joint business plans to achieve and over-deliver volume, profit and trade spend targets
- Build strong customer relationships at multiple levels, inclusive of regular meeting cadences with key contacts
- Lead the complete sales process, from joint business planning, negotiation, forecasting and trade fund management to business reviews and gap closing
- Exercise multi-functional leadership internally and at the customer through frequent and proactive engagement of available resources
- Analyse, develop insights and make recommendations on key performance indicators such as volume, trade spend, promotions, new product launches and pricing
- Demonstrate and build financial knowledge through the understanding and management of P&Ls
- Develop monthly forecasts based on retail sales, promotional plans and category trends
- Lead the development and execution of trade marketing programs, such as displays and customer merchandising initiatives
- Support the ideation and commercialization of new product innovation
- Manage and lead the development of a dedicated Key Account Representative

- Understands upstream (internal cross-functional stakeholders) and downstream (brokers and retailers) implications of decisions
- Post secondary education - business focus preferred
- 5+ years related experience working with a major Canadian retailer – Loblaw preferred
- Strong general industry knowledge
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated analytical skills – the ability to develop and communicate key insights
- Able to anticipate internal and external customers’ needs and proactively seek to address
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, demanding work environment
- Advanced computer and software knowledge (Microsoft Office, Nielsen, Retailer POS)
- Highly organized, fact-based and detail oriented
- Coffee industry experience is a plus
- Some overnight travel required
