Duration: 6 MonthsSalary Range: C$75 INCIntroductionWe are seeking a skilled Power Systems Application Engineer with a focus on network and transmission systems to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects in the power and utility industry, leveraging your expertise to enhance energy management systems.Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of implementation experience and customization of power system applications.
- Experience in developing applications using C and Java.
- Hands-on grid experience.
- 4 years of work experience in development, customizing, and delivering Energy Management Systems for Electric Power Utilities leveraging industry practices.
- Proficient in Power DMS, Transmission EMS Implementations including SCADA.
- 4 years of experience with C, Java & SQL/Oracle Database.
- 3 years of experience with OOPS skills with basic C & Full stack Java or other related language.
- 4 years of experience with EMS, AEMS product development.
- 4 years of experience with LINUX and Windows Operating Systems SQL, shell scripting, ability to read and interpret logs & debug files.
- 4 years’ experience on Realtime or Mission Critical Systems.
- Experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems.
- Proven track record of problem analysis, identification, and resolution.
- Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills.
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.
- Experience with key adjacent products such as those from Siemens, ABB, Alstom, OSI, Schneider.
- Ability to manage client discussions and technical reviews.
- Effective communication, documentation, and presentation abilities.
- Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Develop and customize energy management systems for electric power utilities.
- Implement and maintain Transmission EMS and Power DMS systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues in real-time systems.
- Conduct technical reviews and manage client discussions.
