
Mechanical Design Engineer

- Develop new products for the company through R&D efforts, prototyping, testing, and new product introduction.
- Development of high pressure valves, pumps, and electric motors.
- Bring forth innovative ideas and alternative solutions to problems.
- Develop and maintain CAD files (3d models, 2d drawings, schematics, renderings).
- Interaction with the Electrical Engineering team on multidisciplinary projects.
- Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and reports.
- Collaboration with the operations team in the development of new work instructions for new product manufacturing.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of production processes.
- Support operations team and troubleshooting on design, quality, or production related issues as they arise.
- Focus on results, driven to take ownership of responsibility.
- Willingness to learn new skills in a small team environment.
- Mindful of the business drivers coming from interdepartmental teams such as manufacturing, sales, and field staff. Ability to use this understanding to execute new ideas that contributes to company success.

- Mechanical Engineer (P. Eng). Registered to practice in Alberta.
- Experience developing with hazardous rated equipment (CSA, UL, IEC, or ATEX).
- Experience developing parts of varying construction methods (ie. machined, cast, extruded, molded, forged, bent/formed, and welded).
- Experience designing mechanical equipment with moving/sliding parts and highpressure sealing systems (pumps, motors, valves).
- Experience working with crossdisciplinary teams.
- CAD skills. (Solidworks, Solidworks PDM, and 2D schematics).
- Strong computer skills, mechanical aptitude.
- Strong understanding of ASME drawing standards.
- Comfortable working with high pressure equipment.
