- Understand how Meridian’s products and services can add value to our Members
- Provide investment advice by identifying and promoting solutions that meet our Member needs
- Provide recommendations on credit products based on accurate and appropriate credit interviewing and underwriting skills
- Engage in revenue generation and sales based activities in order to achieve performance objectives; build external centres of influence to optimize sales and service results
- Use provided tools to proactively identify and promote opportunities with all Members to deepen relationships and provide flawless service experiences
- Embrace virtual technology platforms and use them to host meetings and engage in impactful communication with Members
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality to respect Member’s privacy
- Act as an engaged teammate and trusted partner to build and cultivate internal relationships within the Member Experience teams and cross-functional departments, while ensuring achievement of Retail Experience goals
- Demonstrate empathy with colleagues by communicating thoughts and ideas openly while promoting inclusivity and a sense of belonging towards others in the workplace
- Continue individual learning and development to align with Meridian values while delivering on action plans aligned with Employee Engagement results
- Actively participate and support the leadership team in the planning process, assisting with implementation and providing feedback
- Step in as a leader, while the Branch Manager is away, and continuously act as a role model on the team

- Support local community organizations and activities through Business Development and Good Neighbour Program. Planning, preparation and delivery of Meridian hosted Community events.
- Post-secondary education with at least 3 years of equivalent work experience in a financial services environment with a consistent track record in sales
- Strong business and financial industry knowledge, with a desire for career growth within the financial services industry
- At minimum, MFDA licensing is required for most roles
- Flexible to work all scheduled hours which include some evenings and Saturdays
- Proven understanding of computer systems and programs including Microsoft Office, and Outlook
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills, including coaching and leadership skills
- Effective organizational time management, and problem-solving skills
- Embedding & leveraging technology – Confidence and willingness to learn and integrate AI and emerging technologies into new ways of working. Experience with low/no code tools like the Microsoft Power Platform and generative AI productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot is considered an asset
- Critical Thinking – The ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret information from various sources and apply logic and problem solving to make decisions.
