When there is no room for error, and product failure is not an option, leading life sciences companies trust us to resolve their production challenges.Job DescriptionMAJOR DUTIES:The Senior Financial Analyst acts as a strategic partner to divisional leadership, providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and business performance. This role combines strong technical expertise with business acumen, focusing on financial planning, forecasting, and business partnering.As a core member of the Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst is a primary finance partner, providing insights and recommendations to the leadership team for driving sustainable progress in our strategic initiatives.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESFINANCIAL REPORTING AND ACCOUNTING
  • Ensure financial reporting accuracy in accordance with IFRS and internal company policies
  • Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages, with clear variance explanations and actionable insights.
  • Drive divisional forecasting and budgeting cycles, providing forward-looking analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and recommendations for improvement
  • Maintain data integrity within the ERP system and contribute to enhancements of reporting tools
  • Support quarterly and year-end audits with accurate working papers and reconciliations.
INTERNAL CONTROL, POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
  • Maintain the accounting records in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, IFRS standards, and internal controls
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and improve reporting quality .
  • Ensure the safeguarding of company assets.
BUSINESS PARTNERING & OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
  • Act as the primary finance contact for designated business units, building trusted relationships with operational leaders
  • Provide forward-looking analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Analyze various profit streams and identify of key opportunities to drive performance
  • Maintain the financial components of the ERP systems ensuring data integrity. Provide subject matter expert support to other teams outside of finance related to the financial components of the ERP
OTHER
  • Lead initiatives to improve financial reporting tools, forecasting processes, and ERP utilization.
  • Implement automation and process efficiency improvements
  • Serve as a role model within the Finance team by demonstrating high standards in analysis, communication, and professionalism
QualificationsEDUCATION:
  • A university degree or college diploma in business and/or accounting or equivalent business experience is required. CA/CMA/CGA and/or MBA with prior financial analysis and reporting experience is required .
EXPERIENCE:
  • 5-7 years progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, or business finance.
  • Proven track record of business partnering and delivering insights to non-finance leaders
  • Advanced Excel and strong ERP system expertise (JD Edwards or similar)
  • Effective Communication both verbally and in writing.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, financial reporting and accounting skills.
