- Demonstrate courage to proactively recognize and challenge teams when ideas and/or strategies may not align with cultural expectations and/or the business vision.
- Support leaders in connecting employees to how they contribute to the company goals and success; help leaders identify talent gaps and support them through coaching initiatives.
- Advance implementation of our compensation philosophy through support of supervisors.
- Understand key drivers of business performance, how talent and culture contribute to those drivers and partner with business leaders to advance the business vision.
- Develop effective working relationships, trust and credibility with business, union and HR stakeholders
- Actively support for talent planning, and employee development to strengthen the company's talent position.
- Support supervisors and union representatives with strategic resolution, effective grievance management, and joint labour relations initiatives through your ability to administer and interpret collective agreements.
- Ensure business decisions are compliant with all employment laws and regulations. Partner with compliance, labour relations and legal resources as necessary.
- Experience in economically solving problems
- Experience coaching, leading and/or influencing supervisors and business professionals
- Experience in establishing and maintaining productive, trusted relationships with business leaders, employees, and or HR team members
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial or chemical processing environment
- CPHR or working towards CPHR designation (CPHR Candidate)
- Prior exposure to labour relations including collective bargaining process and grievance management
