- Collaborate with business leads to develop a deep understanding of key business drivers and goals for charity, donor and internal operations divisions and deliver relevant analytics solutions
- Create and oversee execution of the strategy for the analytics team to leverage data science and machine learning with accountability for building a deeper internal understanding of the business and marketing performance markers as well as improving and developing new client-facing data products
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the dataset with external data
- Contribute to the company’s annual planning process as well as long-term business analytics and intelligence vision and roadmap
- Lead data governance and retention policies and processes, ensuring data best practices that adhere to all applicable federal and provincial regulations
- Build on a data-driven culture throughout the entire organization and drive adoption of new data tools and processes.
- Ensure alignment across teams based on their individual data needs
- Work in a hands-on fashion to ensure successful execution of data initiatives
- Mentor and develop team of data analysts and scientists and support their professional development and be a member of the Management Team
- Identify opportunities to leverage the latest trends and technologies in data analytics, including machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data visualization tools
- Oversee the Analytics team’s budget, tools, and resource planning to ensure effective operation
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative field or equivalent
- 10+ years in data analytics/science, with SaaS experience preferred
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
- Experience with database modeling, ETL, and modern query languages
- Knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning, and A/B testing
- Proven leadership of data teams in fast-paced, scaling environments
- Ability to collaborate with executive and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, project management, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
