- Coordinating Technical Investigation Studies, pre-concept and concept design activities.
- Preparing required NPMS documents, including but not limited to feasibility study, Project Management Plan, IAR, etc.
- Assisting the project manager or consultant design team in interpreting the project brief and in understanding department and other standards and policies.
- Managing A&E Teams and other consultants.
- Monitoring A&E Teams and other consultants' deliverables and performance.
- Working with project managers, IPS consultants, and clients to plan, schedule and execute the timely delivery of the related projects in accordance with established deadlines and milestones.
- Preparing option analyses and “what if” scenarios.
- Reviewing and challenging the estimates prepared by other consultants.
- Reviewing consultant fee progress claims for compliance with the consultant agreements
- Assist in providing regular project status updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in managing expectations and ensure clear communication.
- Assist in ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Assist with developing and implementing changes to project plans while minimizing disruption.
- Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Tracking project progress against plans, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions.
- A minimum of 8 - 10 years of project management experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a similar field.
- PMP is an asset.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Project or P6.
- Good with numbers, technology, and web-based data platforms.
- Great communication skills and an ability to manage and liaise at different levels.
- Security clearance (Secret) or ability to gain this.
