- Support PH&N’s institutional capabilities by producing and maintaining client and prospect facing materials across the full spectrum of GAM’s global equity, fixed income and alternative strategies - including ad hoc research & analysis that will develop and deepen your creative abilities and knowledge of financial markets.
- Proactively develop content, organize production, review and distribute client reporting (monthly, quarterly and on request) and client communications for both regular and ad hoc requirements.
- Leverage your finance knowledge to produce written analyses, exhibits & slides to synthesize key technicals.
- Collaborate with Institutional Portfolio Managers in the day-to-day support, mandate structuring, cash flow management, and compliance monitoring for client mandates.
- Support research/creative analysis for white papers, product development, and internal/external seminars etc.
- Collaborate with the team to support key business development activities, and creative evolutions of existing mandates to reflect changes in objectives. Capture key client updates in our systems.
- Work with our Legal Dept, Investment Portfolio Managers, Onboarding, and other organizational teams across RBC GAM to construct and maintain appropriate documentation as client mandates onboard or evolve (e.g. IMAs, SIPPs, IPSs, KYC, etc.)
- Undergraduate degree with a focus in finance, economics or mathematics is preferred
- Minimum 3 years investment and financial services (or related) industry experience
- CFA candidate or willingness to pursue the designation
- Superior Literacy of Microsoft office applications including key strengths in the use of Excel and Power Point
- A flexible work schedule including the expectation that hours may extend during key busy periods
- A demonstrated track record as a high performer in a range of arenas from work to extra-curriculars with the ability to prioritize and multitask to tight deadlines with a very high degree of accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to perform strongly as a team player, with the ability to be proactive and effective in independent tasks
- Capable problem solver who demonstrates strategic thinking, common sense and sound judgement
- Knowledge of commonly used financial programs such as Bloomberg, PC Bond Analytics, Salesforce (CRM), etc.
- Previous asset management related experience through summer internships and/or full-time related roles
- Strong working knowledge of investment markets through active pursuit of finance related certifications
- Bilingual - English/French
