Job DescriptionSEMCO - Sr. Business Process AnalystSEMCO Energy is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to document, analyze, and improve core customer and billing processes. This role is ideal for a curious, analytical self-starter who enjoys understanding how work gets done and turning complexity into clear, scalable processes.What You’ll DoDocument and improve business processes across billing, meter reading, payments, call center, and customer operationsIdentify gaps and design improved workflows that support efficiency and customer experiencePartner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand processes and recommend improvementsUse customer and billing data from CIS systems to support analysis and decision-makingMaintain clear, up-to-date process documentation to support continuity and complianceCollaborate with SEMCO Energy and Washington Gas teams to identify shared opportunitiesWhat We’re Looking For5+ years of experience in business process analysis, operations, billing, or customer systemsExperience with enterprise financial or billing systems (SAP IS-Utilities, MV90, or similar preferred)Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively with diverse stakeholdersLean Six Sigma and/or CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent business analysis certificationAbility to travel to our Springfield, VA office (approx. once per 2-3 months)Why Join Us?Make a meaningful impact on processes that directly affect customersGain exposure across multiple teams and two utilitiesWork in a collaborative environment that values curiosity and initiativeWe offer a competitive salary range of $83,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
