Job Description:Our Langley client in the area bordering on Port Kells, is looking to hire an Intermediate Accountant for their growing business. Reporting to the Controller, the Intermediate Accountant will primarily focus on month end tasks, including journal entries, month end reconciliations and schedules, working papers and assist with the preparation of financial statements, financial statement consolidation and variance analysis. Additional responsibilities include some work on fixed assets and tax compliance work, year end audit support and special projects around business process improvements and a potential system implementation.Requirements:The ideal Intermediate Accountant is an ambitious CPA candidate currently in the late stages of PEP looking to get experience that will help them qualify for their designation. Ideally you have experience working in a fast paced highly transactional environment and some local or overseas public practice experience. You are tech savvy or consider yourself tech forward and have a natural curiously around AI and how to improve or streamline processes. You are able to work both collaboratively as part of a team but are able to work on your own independently. You must have excellent MS Excel skills and experience working with and ERP system.
