The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. - Analyze client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements
- Prepare and present marketing proposals for renewals and new business
- Develop, negotiate and manage all aspects of coverage including review and placement.
- Negotiate with underwriters to establish the best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage
- Follow up with insurer to confirm terms of negotiated contract are met
- Approve documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals
- Establish contacts and cultivate relationships within the underwriting community
- Participate in client and prospect meetings
- Collaborate with clients to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business
- Collaborate with sales producers to support growth strategies and specific prospecting activities
- Collaborate to build national initiatives
- Build productive working relationships with peers and higher-level professionals internally and externally to exchange information and make recommendations
- Other related duties as required
- 9+ years of Insurance background and knowledge is required
- Experience placing large construction risks, particularly project-specific policies would be an asset
- Broker licensed is an asset
- Strong skills in both written and verbal communications to be able to make an impact and influence with the client and the insurance company
