- Pay rate of $35 to $40 per hour.

- Working shifts of 14 days on and 7 days off.

- Trim, prune, and remove trees and branches that pose a risk to power lines, poles, and other utility infrastructure.
- Conduct regular inspections of areas around power lines to assess potential hazards posed by trees or branches.
- Work in both urban and rural environments, managing vegetation near overhead and underground utility lines.
- Operate power tools and equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, aerial lifts, chipper trucks, stump grinders, and cranes to perform tree trimming and removal.
- Train and supervise crew members to ensure that safety procedures are followed, especially when working around high-voltage electrical equipment.
- Maintain records of tree maintenance activities, including tree removal, pruning schedules, and any damage caused by vegetation to utility infrastructure.
- Track vegetation management progress and document completed work for utility records or regulatory compliance.
- Ensure work is done in compliance with environmental regulations, minimizing damage to natural habitats and wildlife.
- Other duties as required.
- Certified Utility Arborist (CUA or 444B), or eligible to challenge British Columbia's CUA certification, which includes an exam, and requires 3,600 field hours—1,800 of which must be in proximity to energized conductors.
- Basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques for trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing.
- Valid Class 5 drivers’ license and Current Driver’s Abstract with less than 6 demerits.
- Applicant must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to lift, move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.
