- The EDMO Standard Deliverables (Risk, Compliance, FCRM) project sits within the Strategy, Governance and Enablement team in the Risk Organisation working to implement the new Enterprise Data Management Office (EDMO) data management procedures for Critical Data.
- The Senior Data Control Testing Analyst will be part of a project pod responsible for building out and executing the Data Quality Control Testing activities required for the Risk and Compliance functions to become adherent to the new Enterprise Data Management Office (EDMO) Data Management Controls Requirements procedures.
- Activities will focus on Tier 1 outputs and the Risk / Compliance owned assets (systems / EUCs) in Canada and the US touched by Tier 1 related Critical Data Elements.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work with various stakeholders across the bank from differing backgrounds including non-technical business reporting teams to technology teams, data subject matter experts, and governance professionals to deliver against agreed timelines.
- The ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a cross section of stakeholders with varying levels of data management technical knowledge will be critical skills, as will attention to detail and the ability to quickly identify and appropriately escalate issues and blockers to delivery.
- Independently executes testing of Data Controls
- Develops testing documentation and results reporting in line with requirements
- Understands the Enterprise Data Management procedures and requirements and effectively applies that understanding in the execution of their work
- Understands the use of controls for managing data risk and applies this understanding to independently evaluate controls effectiveness and develop recommendations for enhancement
- Interprets guidelines, standards, policies and results of analysis to inform decision making
- Work independently as a subject matter expert of the assets (applications / EUCs) supported and applicable Data Risk Management requirements and may coach and educate others.
- Execute on more complex and/or non-standard requests
- Undertake and complete a variety of activities as part of building out the project testing function, may include the integration of cross pod processes within own area of expertise.
- Performs complex analysis and reporting
- You are a confident professional with a good understanding of data governance / data management principles, enjoy working with varied stakeholders who possesses the following:
o In depth knowledge of Data Governance and Data Control Frameworks
o Ability to operate in an Agile / Waterfall environment with tight deadlines
o Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate working with business unit, technology and Business SMEs, senior management, and business partners at all levels.

o MS office suite expertise (Excel/ Visio / Access)
o Knowledge of Alteryx or similar End User tools
o Ability to read SQL scriptCustomer Accountabilities:
- Execute testing engagement work in accordance with established standards to achieve completion within targeted timelines
- Conduct analytical research and analysis as part of the assigned testing objectives
- Work collaboratively with key partners throughout the testing engagement
- Provide subject matter expertise on Data Quality controls and associated testing processes
- During the execution of testing activities, proactively identify matters which require additional attention, further escalation, or review, and liaise with the appropriate groups to resolve.
- Prioritize and manage own workload to deliver quality results and meet assigned timelines
- Contribute to the analysis, due diligence, and implementation of initiatives within defined area of responsibility
- Adhere to internal policies, standards and procedures, methodologies, and applicable regulatory requirements to contribute to the review of internal processes and activities and assist in identifying potential opportunities to improve FCRM controls
- Understand the operations of the business unit/area being tested and to identify potential Data Quality risks and apply information to complete a quality, risk-based engagement
- Clearly and concisely document research as required to understand requirements specific to an engagement
- Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions, and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements
- Provide analysis on issues and effectively communicate results to Testing Pod Lead, Control Owners and other interested stakeholders.

- Experience in writing test scripts, designing and executing control testing, with a focus on validating control effectiveness
- Strong stakeholder management skills across both technology and business teams
- Proven ability to manage timelines, escalate issues promptly, and understand governance frameworks
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and principles
- Certification in risk management
- Familiarity with Alteryx or similar technology tools
- Experience in designing and building control testing frameworks
- Knowledge of data controls and risk management practices
- Experience working with Vision systems or platforms
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel
