Moving beyond compliance, we truly value the experience and knowledge brought to our Indigenous partnerships.We are looking for motivated people who is committed to growing their professional career at Procon while gaining valuable knowledge and experience.Project Details:Based at our project in Northern B.C., this will be a 3 week on / 3 week off rotation opportunity.Responsibilities:The Multi Skilled Development Miners on our remote project in the Northern BC is responsible and accountable for the following:
  • Install ground support as directed
  • Perform duties safely using mechanized equipment
  • Construct and maintain underground installations
  • Safe operation of the production drill, applying company / client safety procedures required to conduct work safely and efficiently
  • You will have excellent mechanical aptitude and communication skills that allow you to operate safely in an underground mining environment
  • Follow all policies and processes at the mine site and underground
  • Must be prepared to adhere to all legislated regulations and company Health & Safety policies and perform the role safely and ensure Health & Safety is the number one priority
  • May be required to move positions depending on the current needs and priorities of the project
  • Other mining related tasks as required
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years working full-time in an underground mine environment with 2+ years experience on a mechanized bolter
  • Experienced in installation of ground support
  • Experience operating Jumbo and or MacLean bolter, Robolter and other underground equipment is an asset
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs. repetitively and on a regular basis
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with a variety of crews and adapts well to working with others
  • Dependable and able to commit to a 3 week on / 3 week off rotation
  • Positive attitude and enjoys being a proactive member of a high performing team

This position involves frequent air travel to and from the work site. Applicants must meet all legislated requirements for air travel to work at the remote site camp. You will be required to work both dayshift and nightshift as part of the rotational schedule 21 days on site, 21 days off site.
