- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles for multiple entities, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare and review complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis on financial statements, providing insights into trends and anomalies for management.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on work prepared by entry-level and intermediate accountants, fostering accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, along with supporting schedules.
- Research and apply technical accounting standards for complex transactions and new initiatives to ensure compliance.
- Prepare audit documentation and act as a liaison with external auditors to ensure smooth interim and year-end audit processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting function, enhancing workflows and strengthening internal controls.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data flow and provide actionable insights through ad hoc reporting and analysis.
- Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) in the US, or candidates nearing completion also considered. Authorization to work in the relevant location is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of US GAAP, with the ability to research and interpret accounting guidance effectively.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience driving process improvements and optimizing financial workflows.
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks and a demonstrated ability to contribute to their design and maintenance.
