We are family owned and operated and we take our mission seriously: “to provide holistic health care in a home environment, located within an internal neighbourhood design that promotes a caring community with emphasis on optimal health and life purpose for each resident”.We’d love to talk to you about what makes us different.Shift details for our new Food Services team member:Our Village at Hamilton Continuing Care has an exciting opportunity for a unscheduled Food Services team member to join our team working approximately 10 hours bi-weekly from 16:00 to 21:00.As a new Food Services team member joining our Village, you will:Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents. You will assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents’ diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques.Food Services Team Members at Schlegel Villages assist with the preparation of catering functions and events, and in maintaining and clean dining room and workspace.To be successful as our new Food Services team member, you will:

Current Student looking for experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement Home Setting or Enrolled/Completed the Food Services Worker Certification program
Willing to obtain a valid Safe Food Handlers certificate
Be excited by our Mission, Vision and Values that shape all aspects of life at Schlegel Villages
Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members

Would be an Asset:

If you have experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement Home setting
