- Creates a great food experience through the oversight of the daily operations including the management of team members and customer relations.
- Responsible for customer service including but not limited to responding to customer inquiries and resolving customer complaints.
- Executes the Company's Merchandising and Promotional strategies to achieve the Company's sales objectives.
- Ensure quality control of all products.
- Responsible for managing all operational expenses including but not limited to labour, utilities, supplies, samples, waste, etc.
- Conduct regular, preventative maintenance of equipment to ensure proper functionality and control of equipment expenses.
- Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained to ensure departmental efficiency and customer service.
- Responsible for the hiring, onboarding and management of all associates within the store.
- Provide ongoing training and guidance to all members of the team.
- Ensure a safe and clean retail environment and compliance with all applicable legislation.
- Responsible for after-hour alarm calls and response as required.
- Support the Company Purpose and Values.
- All other duties as assigned by Management.
- A minimum of 2 years of management experience in a grocery retail environment.
- Experience in managing a Deli and / or Fresh Meat is strongly preferred.
- Must have a strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and inventory management.
- Proven experience in retail merchandising including building product displays and executing promotions.
- Demonstrates strong leadership and team management skills with a hands on management style.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and professionalism throughout all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including but not limited to days, evenings, weekends, holidays and after-hour emergency response.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
- Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
- Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
