of critical tasks including IT installations, escalations support, rollouts, hardware installations, and new
store openings. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving
skills, and a proactive approach to resolving issues efficiently.Main Responsibilities
  • IT Installations: Lead and coordinate IT installations including technical Hardware, networking equipment, and software systems across various locations;
  • Escalation Support: Serve as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, providing troubleshooting expertise and guidance to resolve issues promptly;
  • Rollouts: Manage the deployment of software updates, patches, and new technologies, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption to operations;
  • Hardware Installations: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware components such as computers, printers, and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and reliability;
  • New Store Openings: Travel, coordinate IT setup for new store openings, including network setup, POS system installation, staging prepping computers and hardware;
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting and knowledge transfer;
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment, manage service contracts, and escalate issues as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years experience as a Help Desk Technician;
  • College diploma in Computer Science, Management Information System (MIS) or related discipline;
  • Proven experience in IT support, including installations, escalations, rollouts, and hardware deployments;
  • Strong technical proficiency in networking, systems administration, and troubleshooting methodologies;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec
  • Proven abilities in PC configuration;
  • Expert level knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 10 and Office 2007, Office 2016, Office 2019, as well as Google-related applications (Google Mail, Google Docs, Google Drive, etc.);
  • Knowledge of Apple related Hardware (IPad’s, etc.);
  • General PC troubleshooting and repair knowledge;
  • Proven communication and customer service skills;
  • A+ Certification an asset;
  • Experience in retail considered an asset;
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts (including weekends or nights);
  • Must be available to undertake occasional travel;
  • On call on rotation;
  • Must be able to travel.
