- Oversee all aviation ground operations staff and related scheduling/timekeeping and aircraft support activities including line support, refueling, grooming, and customer service for all aviation clients;
- Coordinate all necessary aviation ground operations staff hiring and training with guidance from corporate HR and Training Department resources;
- Oversee collective agreement administration, grievance resolution, and people management/development with the support and guidance of corporate HR resources.
- Oversee all Execaire ramp and hangar operations in YYZ;
- Oversee all GSE operations and preventive maintenance activities;
- Oversee general fuel supply and related activities;
- Liaise with different stakeholders including employees, clients, tenants, and ensure timely resolution of issues;
- Ensure adherence to Shell requirements and successful completion of all audits.
- Draft and oversee the implementation of Tenant Agreements with the support and guidance of corporate Legal and Finance resources;
- Help develop and ensure financial targets are met or exceeded in accordance with budgets and audits;
- Help coordinate Sales efforts with the support of corporate Sales resources.
- Oversee and resolve any aviation ground operation SMS issues as per company policy;
- Lead OH&S meetings, 6S inspections, quarterly reports, incident/accident reports, etc.;
- Ensure successful completion of all regulatory audits and address related corrective actions;
- Act as Lead for the IS-BAH certification implementation;
- Responsible for overall Quality Assurance for aviation ground operations;
- Support Execaire Aviation's Security Officer and implement necessary security procedures as required;
- Ensure that all aviation ground operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures;
- Perform other related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as aviation management, or a similar area is preferred
- Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in FBO/aviation ground operations with a minimum of four (4) years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of airport groundside operations, safety protocols, and aviation and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to effectively manage and lead a team, including hiring and training, scheduling, motivating, and performance management
- Effective at problem solving, negotiating resolutions and conducting root cause analysis with a goal towards ongoing improvements
- Excellent, effective communication skills, both oral and in written format
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients
- Experience in budget management, revenue generation, and cost control
- A thorough understanding of FBO operations, including aircraft fueling, maintenance, and ground handling
- Excellent, effective communication skills, both oral and in written format
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office products
- Must have a Transport Canada Security Clearance and a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) - or ability to acquire these in order to access restricted areas
