- Prepare bottle orders and sample preservatives for packing and shipping;
- Package and ship samples using appropriate couriers and procedures;
- Organize, prioritize, and track orders;
- Reviews and double checks bottle orders prepared by others for errors;
- Receive supplies and distribute to appropriate department;
- Process Return shipments for laboratory supplies;
- Take weekly stock counts;
- Maintain inventory control of sample bottles and general lab and shipping supplies;
- Deliver late shipments to couriers and others as required;
- Deliver/pickup of shipments, as required;
- Traces lost/late shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents;
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and couriers;
- Maintain a clean work area;
- Basic building maintenance;
- Cross-train with Sample Login and log samples in as required;
- Maintain a positive work environment through active team participation and a focus on quality customer service
- Prepare bottle orders and sample preservatives for packing and shipping
- Provide general assistance as required;
- Assist in the preparation, maintenance and control of quality records, SOPs, documents, and registers
- Use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality;
- Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Intermediate English communication skills (auditory, verbal, writing, and reading) as required;
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) on a basic level;
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks correctly in a fast-paced environment;
- Good organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines such as Turnaround Times (TAT) and holding requirements;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- A strong work ethic and willingness to take on varied tasks as required;
- A commitment to excellence and a client-focused attitude.
- High School diploma with some chemistry preferred;
- Some lab experience would be an asset.
- Valid unrestricted license for personal vehicle use applicable in the province/territory.
- No major driving violations and no more than two minor violations/incidents.
- Manual dexterity to perform intricate and/or repetitive tasks;
- Wear issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, gloves etc., when required;
- Ability to stand for a full shift;
- Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities;
- You may be exposed to unpleasant odours.
