The Marriott Château Champlain is a 1-minute walk from the metro, accessible through an underground passage adjacent to the Bell Centre and also via 1000 De La Gauchetière. This iconic Montreal hotel, with its 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, and 25 meeting rooms, was completely renovated in 2021 and can accommodate up to 1000 guests. If you are seeking a modern and stylish work environment, join the inspiring team of one of the largest downtown hotels in Montreal.Reporting to the restaurant supervisors, the busser holds a crucial role within our establishment. Responsible for maintaining the smoothness and cleanliness of the dining area, the busser plays a pivotal role in enhancing the customer experience by ensuring efficient service and a pleasant atmosphere. By closely collaborating with both the service and kitchen teams, the busser contributes to ensuring that each customer enjoys a welcoming and tidy environment while facilitating the smooth running of daily operations.Main Responsibilities:

Ensuring prompt and efficient clearing of tables after guests depart.
Cleaning tables, chairs, and other surfaces to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Ensuring that dishes are removed and placed in appropriate areas for washing.
Assisting in rearranging tables and chairs to accommodate new guests.
Supporting servers as needed, including bringing additional drinks or utensils.
Collaborating with the kitchen team for waste management and cleaning of preparation areas.
Adhering to hygiene and food safety standards at all times.

Requirements:

Have previous experience as a host/hostess.
Greet guests warmly and with a personalized touch.
Take and confirm guest reservations.
Assign tables to guests.
Adhere to hygiene and cleanliness standards and procedures.
Follow Marriott and company standards.
Have sales and customer service skills.
Exhibit professional attitudes and behaviors such as good memory, verbal communication skills, stress tolerance, facial recognition, etc.
Have knowledge of the local area and tourist points of interest.
Have knowledge of the OpenTable system.
Be bilingual in French and English, as we serve an international clientele.
Have experience in hosting in high-volume restaurants/terraces.
Have at least 1 year of experience in a high-volume restaurant/terrace.
Have crowd and stress management skills.
Be able to stand for long hours.
Provide a great customer service.
