What we offer is a highly cooperative work environment where professional development, empowerment, open and frank communication and win-win relationships are paramount.ResponsibilitiesRead & interpret blueprints, Isometrics, and electrical schematicsInstall & remove heat trace in accordance with specified standardsEnsure safe work around process lines, live systems, and hazardous areas (Class I Zone 1/2)Working with power and hand toolsElectrical installs, wiring and cable pullsPerform insulation resistance tests (Megger) to ensure cable integrityConduct loop checks and verify continuity and proper groundingQA, testing and commissioning of electrical and heat trace componentsUse of digital Work packages and quality documentsParticipate collaboratively in work groupsUse of good problem-solving critical thinking and communication skillsAdherence with safety requirements and policies, LOTO etc.Active participation in HSE ProgramAbility to complete extensive in-house training programParticipate in toolbox talks and field-level hazard assessments (FLHAs)Role requirementsElectrical Journeyman CertificateExperience: A minimum of 4 years of experience as a qualified electricianKnowledge of electrical heat trace (EHT) installations and commissioningCPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), H2S Alive trainingValid driver's license - Driving record check (abstract)High level Microsoft and computer skills requiredFamiliarity with Procore or digital construction management software considered an assetKnowledge with Thermon EHT control systems an assetUnderstanding of Thermal Insulation systems an assetIRATA Rope Access Level 1,2,3 an assetPersonal SuitabilityJudgement, Excellent written communication, Organized, Client focus, Excellent oral communication, Team player, Accurate, Flexibility, Effective interpersonal skills, ReliabilitySalary: 48/hour + 5 & 3 Uplifts + vacation payBenefits:Dental careExtended health carePaid time offVision careSchedule:11.5hr shift14 on 14 offIOL Kearl Lake
