  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in a human resources business partner (HRBP) or employee relations role, or equivalent experience as an employment attorney, workplace investigator, or similar role.
  • Experience interpreting policies and applying legal advice.
  • Experience consulting directly with employees and management.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience advising on a range of employee relations issues, including reorganizations and performance issues.
  • Ability to manage global projects and to organize and analyze data.
  • Ability to work across different identities, apply an intersectional lens in daily work and interactions, and diffuse or de-escalate difficult conversations and situations.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and influence outcomes in a global organization.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English fluently to support employee relations in this region.
  • Excellent investigation interview techniques, communication, influencing, and writing skills.

  • Conduct fair, thorough, and timely investigations into allegations of violations of Google’s HR policies or local law and policies to ensure fair treatment of all Googlers, while ensuring investigations, complaints, and disciplinary processes are managed efficiently and fairly in accordance with local requirements.
  • Collaborate with Employee Relations and Partner Investigations (e.g., Regulatory Affairs, Security) across teams and time zones, including taking notes, advising, and drafting or delivering discipline.
  • Address and advise on workplace concerns in line with local processes (e.g., pay, level, performance) and any other conduct that may breach policies.
  • Resolve and de-escalate matters and communicate clear guidance and coaching to Googlers, People Operations (POps) partners, and management, influencing as needed.
  • Draft summaries and recommendations to document and resolve issues and provide advice as necessary.
