Reporting to the Billing Supervisor, the Billing Coordinator is responsible for managing all phases of the client billing process. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a client-service mindset, with regular interaction across legal, administrative, and finance teams.Key Responsibilities
- Process prebills and manage monthly billing for approximately 20–25 billing partners
- Provide direct billing support to assigned partners and legal assistants, including:
- Proactive management of WIP
- Monitoring billing timelines and client requirements
- Ensuring billing compliance
- Act as the primary billing contact for assigned partners, delivering end-to-end billing support
- Review and implement revisions to narratives, disbursements, rates, and invoice details in accordance with partner and client instructions
- Draft, finalize, and distribute invoices to clients
- Coordinate and support month-end billing
- Submit and manage e-billing requirements
- Respond to billing-related inquiries and resolve issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate client and matter billing records
- Support special projects, including task-based billing initiatives and internal training
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and process improvements
- Contribute to innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the billing function
- Deliver white-glove service to both internal and external clients
- Minimum 3 years of experience in billing, finance, or accounting
- Experience in a legal billing environment is strongly preferred
- Experience with legal or professional services billing systems is an asset, including:

- eBillingHub
- PowerBI
- MS Office (advanced Word and Excel skills)
