ABOUT THE ROLEAmrize is recruiting a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic for a permanent position located in Exshaw AB.Heavy Duty Mechanics are responsible for large industrial mobile equipment used in all areas of the plant such as loaders, excavators and rock trucks. A high level of safety practices must be used at all times.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHPreventative maintenance serviceGeneral equipment and vehicle repairsMaintain paper and electronic recordsDiagnose and repair equipment and vehicle deficienciesMaintain fleet and shop equipmentProduction environment troubleshooting and repairsInventory management for shop suppliesMaintain shop environment and toolsDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.Required Training/Certifications: A valid Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic journeyman ticket is requiredAdditional Requirements:Work in a team environmentAbility to plan work and self-directAbility to work in fast-paced environmentMust have complete set of toolsKnowledge and experience with hydraulics and air brakesKnowledge and experience with gas and diesel enginesKnowledge and experience with electrical systems and schematicsPrefer experience with loaders, excavators, and rock trucks, and hydraulic drill repairsMine experience would be an assetSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
