
Building Engineer

- Ensure all machinery and mechanical equipment operate at optimal efficiency by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions and replacements.
- Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, including test results, instrument readings, and details of equipment malfunctions and maintenance work.
- Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Boiler and heating systems, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back of the house areas for needed preventative maintenance.
- Repairs to carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting.
- You are responsible for records and reports of completed repairs and items that need further attention.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by your Leaders.
- A Class 4 Power Engineering Certificate would be considered and asset.
- 2 years minimal experience and knowledge in one or more of the Building Trades
- Knowledge of Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC systems.
- Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for an extended period of time
