- Perform code required inspections of property and tenant premises
- Inspect, monitor, and maintain Sprinkler and Standpipe Systems
- Monitor and maintenance of the fire alarm system
- Report, document and resolve all fire and life safety infractions as required
- Respond to fire emergency incidents and or other emergency as required
- Maintain and inspect building fire alarm systems
- Provide Fire Safety training to Fire Supervisory Team, other CF departments and Tenants
- Have working knowledge of EST3 fire alarm panels / direct tenants and public regarding emergencies
- Maintain and manage sprinkler drain downs at the property
- Work with Management in the development and managing fire initiative projects and best practices at the property
- Report major fire safety occurrences and deficiencies to management and tenants
- Provide fire & life safety department with written occurrence / inspections and deficiency reports in a timely manner
- Complete Contractor Safety Walks – Issue required fire code / safety violation notices accordingly
- Assist in managing the Hot Work requirements at the property
- Liaise with Toronto Fire Services
- Liaise with Operations and Security Staff within the general scope of work
- Liaise with Fire alarm and Sprinkler vendor
- Work with those having jurisdiction when required

- Post-secondary education
- Minimum 2 years working experience in the field
- Graduate of the Fire Protection Program considered an asset
- Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification or completion of CFAA Theory exam considered an asset
- Completion of NFPA 1031 Certified Fire Inspector 1 and 2 from a recognized post-secondary institution considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience or knowledge of the installation / maintenance of the fire alarm and sprinkler systems
- Thoroughly conversant with Ontario Building and Fire Code for compliance
- Working knowledge of EST3 fire alarm Panel and Fire Works Software considered an asset
- Computer literacy in Windows, Work, Excel, Point-point and Gmail
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Floor Plans
