- Providing the lead role for the Qinshan Units 1 and 2 Retube and Cernavoda Unit 1 Retube Projects in the area of calandria tube and calandria vessel design and analysis engineering including the preparation of the technical specifications, drawings, design specifications, design reports, bill of materials, and design certifications.
- In addition, the Manager will lead the reactor components testing program including preparation of testing documentation such as component verification specifications, and component verification reports.
- Provide technical expertise on code and standard requirements such as CSA N285 and ASME Section III Division 1 pressure boundary requirements.
- Ensuring that the activities are executed in accordance with the specified requirements including review and endorsement of the technical content of the deliverables, verification and ensuring a high-quality of deliverables, on time and within budget delivery of the deliverables, and approval of the deliverables.
- Interfacing with internal and external customers and stakeholders to establish the priorities, and initiating and approving work proposals for the projects.
- Recruiting, training, developing, motivating, coaching, and evaluating the performance of the team
- Working with the Project Management and Project Engineering Management team to plan the work, ensuring resource availability and allocation, assigning tasks and progress reporting against deliverables.
- Provide strong leadership within the project team, and within the company for aspects related to calandria tube, calandria vessel design and analysis engineering.
- Interface with the regulatory bodies such as: TSSA, ISCIR, CNCAN, and CNSC, as required.
- Ensure that an appropriate combination of skills and experience is maintained within the project to be able to provide technical leadership and specialized expertise as required to support the project including objective setting, and performance reviews.
- University Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years technical experience in stress analysis
- Experience using ANSYS WB or APDL in a professional setting
- Experience performing Finite Element Analysis - static structural, dynamic, thermal, fatigue
- Demonstrated skills in the management/lead of technical projects, and leadership of a highly technical group.
- Demonstrated leadership and people skills to interact with external clients and external organizations, to communicate effectively.
- Ability to resolve technical issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and presentation skills.
- Foster working relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders and maintain creditability and trust via successful delivery of commitments.
- Understanding of quality assurance manuals and procedures.
