Personal Reliable Vehicle
CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
Valid Driver’s License (non GDL)

Pre-employment:

Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation

Topman Responsibilities:

Inspection of materials and piping.
Oversee installation of piping in the trench.
Complete checks on grade and alignment.
Shoot with a rod and level.
Shoot grade with transit.
Direct and signal heavy equipment operators.
Install and repair a variety of water and sewer lines.
Perform manual and labour intensive tasks as assigned.
Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
Level top surface according to grade and depth specification.
Load and unload tools, materials and equipment.
Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

Pipelayer Responsibilities:

Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a pipelayer.
Directs activities within the trench to ensure the pipe is laid to the designed vertical and horizontal tolerances using levels or lasers.
Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding, cementing or sealing with glue.
Monitors backfill of pipe bedding to ensure proper haunch support.
Assist in lot servicing and all other duties as required by Foreman.
Install and repair sanitary and storm water, sewer structures and pipe systems.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Topman/ Pipelayer in Water and Sewer.
Experience Shooting grades with a Rod and Level.
Ability to work in physically demanding work conditions
