Burnaby, BC V5G 0B3Who You AreYou coordinate patient appointments, answer phone calls, and manage administrative tasks, serving as a key liaison between patients and medical staff throughout their care journey. You are organized, efficient, and resourceful, able to work independently with minimal supervision. Your exceptional time management skills allow you to stay composed and effective even in high-pressure situations. Additionally, you help facilitate day-to-day logistics for surgeons, liaising with clinicians and the surgical facility to ensure an efficient and seamless patient experience.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet all patients and admit them to facility
- Answer all incoming telephone calls and deal with them appropriately
- Organize patient charts
- Sort and distribute mail
- Receive supplies from delivery companies
- Organize courier services as needed
- Responsible for office administration, accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Successful completion of a recognized Administrative program
- Minimum 2 years' experience required in face-to-face customer/patient interaction, with previous experience in a medical office environment within the last five years
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with accurate data entry / keyboarding skills
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet established workload timelines with frequent interruptions
- Must be able to work independently and multi-task
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology an asset
- Ability to adhere to strict regional policies and procedures and legislated requirements regarding patient confidentiality
- Experience using HST or an Electronic Medical Records platform required
