Students will explore gross anatomy of the thoracic, abdominal, pelvic and nervous systems with a focus on the structure, function, innervation and blood supply. Students will be introduced to implications of function and dysfunction or disease within these systems. Students will learn through theory and practice including in-class lectures, asynchronous learning modules and digital resources, active learning tasks and hands-on practice in the anatomy laboratory.Estimated Course Enrolment:400Estimated TA Support:17Sessional date of Appointment:Sept 1, 2026 - Dec 22, 2026Salary:Sessional Lecturers I $14,996.22Sessional Lecturers I (Long Term) $16,048.82Sessional Lecturers II $16,048.82Sessional Lecturers III $16,430.94Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Qualification:

PhD in anatomy or a related field preferred
Knowledge of gross anatomy organ systems and neuroanatomy
Teaching experience at the university level required
Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and mastery of the subject area is preferred.
Ability to manage asynchronous learning modules (ie., Articulate) is an asset.

Previous experience in teaching a similar course is highly preferred.
