- The Annual Giving Program Coordinator will develop and implement new targeted goals and strategies to develop programs for key student constituencies as identified through research.
- Identifies, initiates and develops programs targeting students to support the development of Annual Giving programs.
- Assist with planning, marketing, soliciting, writing, design and stewardship for identified student constituencies and programs.
- Partner with communications and alumni relations staff to develop the content and messaging for engagement with student fundraising.
- Tracks and reports on related results of philanthropic engagement.
- Works directly with student groups and university units to generate crowdfunding projects and establish giving circles or student-supported funds.
- Plays a lead role in the troubleshooting and maintenance of an online giving and crowdfunding platform using an external software application and vendors.
- Post-secondary Diploma; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- At least two years' experience in Marketing, Customer Service, Fundraising, Public Relations, or Communications.
- Familiarity and confidence with current technologies including, content management systems, contact management systems, and mass electronic distribution systems.
- Strong understanding of online websites, online giving strategies, and social networking tools and programs.
- Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with MS Office, Google Mail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Apps
- Familiarity with Advance fundraising software (or equivalent) is considered an asset.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills and commitment to customer service.
- Familiarity with the University of Alberta is considered an asset.
