- Review technical objections raised in Examiner’s reports, draft suggestions to overcome the objections and report to clients
- File responses to office actions, including revision of application and all relevant follow through correspondences
- File extension of time requests with CIPO related to examination
- Other duties may be assigned or amended as required
- Office Administration, Legal Assistant or Paralegal diploma, or relevant combination of education and work experience
- 2+ years of relevant Trademark experience in an office or law firm environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to deal directly with clients
- Excellent attention to detail, and is highly organized and proactive
- Experience using MS Office and has the ability to learn new software quickly
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
