The PE is the primary technical point of contact for the customer and reports to the Project Manager.RESPONSABILITIES

Ensures effective coordination between engineering, construction, and project controls groups;
Organizes and facilitates meetings regarding technical activities and design reviews;
Ensures stakeholders interpret the technical specification and expectations correctly;
Defines the technical strategy and the supply plan in collaboration with the Project Manager and the Procurement Department;
Participates in the selection, negotiations and technical discussions of the main suppliers and sub-contractors;
Responsible for making sure engineering deliverables and supply deliveries are made on-time and according to established quality criteria for all systems related to their projects;
Follows-up on Non-Conformances and Change Management with the customer and engineering;
In collaboration with the Project Manager, analyzes, defines and implements a contingency plan to correct any issues or deviations that can have an impact on their projects.

Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
Certified member of the O.I.Q.;
Experience in the fields of hydroelectricity, energy producing equipment or related design and manufacturing activities;
Proven leadership and experience in technical coordination of engineering activities and subcontracting;
Good verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
