Job Requisition ID #26WD95915Position OverviewAutodesk is looking for a trusted finance business partner to join our AMER Sales Finance team. This person reports directly to the Finance Leader of AMER Expansion Sales but is the primary business partner to the Senior Director of North America Expansion Sales. The candidate must demonstrate independence, excellence and integrity in decision making and business judgment. A strong knowledge of information systems, financial planning, accounting, strategic planning, risk assessment, and business development is required, preferably in a software company. The right candidate for this role will demonstrate strong collaboration skills, financial aptitude, excellent business intuition, and the capability to work at multiple levels, including high level strategy and day-to-day financial details.This finance business partner will have frequent interactions and collaborate with the sales teams, cross-functional teams and finance teams and enable optimal informed business decisions through strong, effective analysis and key business insights.ResponsibilitiesActively participate in the annual business planning cycle, including allocating sales targets among individual portfolios and territoriesSupport individual target sheet definition and review and approve monthly commission attainment for the sales teamDevelop, maintain, and monitor the reporting process on daily, weekly, and quarterly business performance for North America Expansion SalesBuild Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for sales and finance senior management and present quarterly finance deck to North America Expansion Sales to review performance and key metricsSupport sales pipeline management and forecasting for North America Expansion SalesCollaborate with the broader sales finance community to facilitate and drive the evolution of our systems and processes to support planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis of the businessPerform regular analysis of portfolios or territories including trends by industry or customer segmentManage the planning and forecast process for OpEx supported by the Spend Analyst teamEstablish relationships with other groups such as Client Services, Sales Operations, Legal, and Revenue Accounting to support the sales teamReinforce internal controls with particular emphasis on training and effective communication of revenue recognition policiesAct as fiduciary in the best interest of the company, free of conflicts of interest and with objectivity, integrity, and truthfulnessMonitor effectiveness of Finance policies, practices, and processes to determine efficiency and effectiveness. Recommend improvements to achieve and deliver improved results. Implement and follow standards and policies as defined by corporate and division senior management; escalate exceptions or questionable practices to direct manager or senior management staffMay lead or actively contribute to cross industry or cross geography projects within Finance, especially projects related to streamlining and/or improving processes and systemsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree (finance, business, or accounting)CPA or MBA is desired but not requiredMinimum of 5 years of progressively responsible business & finance experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience providing financial, operational, and administrative support to high tech sales organizationsArticulate and concise with effective communication skills, both written and verbalInfluencing skills at various levels (staff, peers, superiors) are very importantAbility to stay abreast of key details as well as distill knowledge into an easily communicable message is criticalAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlinesAmbitious and ability to learn quicklyStrong team player and leadership potentialAbility to work on cross-functional teams across the globeStrong skills in Microsoft ExcelAnaplan, Salesforce, and Power BI experience a plusLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $95,000 and $139,700. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
