
Food & Beverage Banquet Supervisor

- Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Hotel Management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in executing banquet and catering events such as receptions, weddings, galas, and conferences
- Minimum 1 year supervising within a union environment
- Proficient with forecasting, cost controls and scheduling
- Demonstrated leadership skills including employee growth and development, interdepartmental teamwork and exceptional customer service
- Proven ability to multi-task, manage deadlines, and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Sound ability to problem solve, make decisions and utilize good judgment
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. MICROS POS experience preferred.
- Must have SMART SERVE Certification
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be physically able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Maintain food & beverage standards and consistent guest experience in keeping with Omni’s standards and guidelines
- Complete all required reports and billings pertaining to events
- Motivate and develop associates with emphasis on continuously striving for excellence in service
- Close coordination and communication with other departments
- Inspect all banquet floors regularly to ensure that they are maintained to the hotel standards
- Actively engaged with our guests and all hotel associates
- Assist Banquet Manager with team meetings, training, scheduling, and payroll
- Encourage associates to create unique, personalized memorable experiences at every opportunity
- Support Outlets, as needed, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation within food & beverage across the hotel
- Other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager
