- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations, to maintain financial accuracy.
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and adjustments.
- Oversee month-end closing processes to meet reporting deadlines.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Consolidate financial statements across multiple entities for accurate reporting.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions to streamline financial processes and analysis.
- Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency in financial operations.
- Provide support for financial audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Assist in the implementation of financial systems and tools to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant, preferably within the construction industry.
- CPA or final stages is an asset
- Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and general ledger management.
- Expertise in journal entries and month-end closing processes.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Experience in preparing and consolidating financial statements.
- Familiarity with variance analysis and financial reporting.
- Previous exposure to financial system implementation is considered an asset.
