- Bachelor's degree or diploma in construction, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' of outside sales experience in the construction industry dealing with shoring and forming schematics.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills.
- Ability to provide technical advice and assistance on construction related products and services.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
- Legal right to work in Canada.
- Experience with CRM tools for sales tracking and customer management.
- A healthy network of Ottawa based construction contractors.
- In-depth knowledge of the commercial and construction markets.
- Familiarity with strategic sales planning and execution tailored to market segmentation.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to the construction industry.
- Experience in dispute resolution and providing post-contract support.
- Multilingual abilities to cater to a diverse client base.
- Cultivate and expand customer base by identifying and pursuing new sales leads.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts to enhance market share.
- Keep meticulous records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project management.
- Support customers during the initial setup of contracts and post-contract completion.
- Provide clear and accurate information on terms, conditions, and technical specifications of products and equipment.
- Liaise with engineering and operations departments to meet customer needs effectively.
- Deliver technical presentations and engage in client entertainment as required.
- Maintain professional demeanour and appearance consistently.
- Commit to ongoing education and training to remain knowledgeable about industry trends and standards.
- Uphold the company's reputation by adhering to ethical sales practices and customer engagement.
- Perform additional tasks as necessitated by the evolving sales environment or as assigned by management.
