What you’ll do:
  • The work will be performed for a variety of public and private sector clients with a focus on water projects, including water supply, water and wastewater treatment, reservoirs, lift stations, and pumping stations. There will be opportunities to cross over into other discipline areas as well.
  • In this role, you will contribute to the preparation and development of detailed drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Responsibilities include supporting design development, coordinating drawing production, and ensuring project deliverables meet established quality standards and client requirements.
  • As a member of the production team, you will also support the coordination of drafting and modelling activities across multiple projects. This may include organizing drawing packages, guiding junior staff, and helping maintain consistency and efficiency in project deliverables.
Does this sound like you?
  • Diploma in Design/Drafting/CAD Technology from an accredited technical institution.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration with ASET.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience, preferably with a Process/Mechanical drafting background.
  • Proficiency in 3D modelling, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Advanced understanding, or willingness to learn, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and Revizto.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing project demands and schedules.
  • Committed team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality technical deliverables.
  • Experience coordinating drawing production and supporting multidisciplinary project teams across multiple projects.
  • Ability to review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project and company standards.
  • Experience leading or coordinating production teams and supporting the development of junior technologists.
  • Interest in contributing to drafting standards, workflow improvements, and best practices within the team.
