Oversee the design, analysis, and testing of electrical systems including power and embedded electronics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineering.
Ensure compliance with military and aerospace industry standards (DO-254, AS9100 etc.).
Drive technical reviews, design validation, and product qualification processes.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Interface with customers and stakeholders to define requirements and present technical solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
15+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in a Canadian province or territory.
Strong knowledge of power and digital electronics, FPGA applications, PCB design, EMI/EMC, and system integration.
Familiarity with aerospace certification and regulatory requirements (e.g. DO-254, AS9000) or automotive (e.g. ISO/TS16949, ISO26262)
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.Preferred Skills Proven experience in aerospace or defense industry preferred.
Understanding of thermal and mechanical constraints in aerospace environments.
Ability to lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Demonstrates strong commitment to following established processes and actively promotes a process-driven approach.
Experience with direct customer communication
